Welfare

This is always a hot topic. Welfare and welfare reform which means welfare by itself ain’t working. What do you really think of welfare. Is someone sitting in the hood get over without working, living fat on your tax dollars watching BET and smoking Newports or is there someone who had a bad break and trying to get back on their feet and all that they need is a helping hand to become a contributing member of society. Or maby both, either way let us know what you think!

Some people really need it and use it. I was on it for a while until I was able to get myself together and it really helped

welfare needs to be reformed but the gov’t has it in such a mess that it may never happen

I was on it too when I was younger..It helped me get on my feet. It was temporary.
Why are black folks always the face of welfare. I bet there are more white people on welfare!!!

my stepson and his mom were on welfare when he was little now his favorite food is cheese - honest to goodness no joke! you think i’m lying but I’m not

Comment #9 you are right, black folks are the face but there are many more whites on welfare and poor whites in general but when people think of welfare they think of blacks in the projects with spinning rims, rediculous
